The Printable Studio
Choose a theme-star, then build your deck and journal pages — a print-ready PDF, made entirely in your browser.
Runs entirely in your browser — your numbers never leave this page.
Built entirely in your browser — nothing is uploaded.
How it works
This studio turns affirmations into paper. Choose a card deck, journal pages, or both, press Generate PDF, and a print-ready A4 file is built on your device — nothing is uploaded, no account, no checkout.
- The deck: cards are 63 × 88 mm (playing-card size), nine to a sheet, with dashed cut guides around every card. Each card carries one affirmation, a small gold crescent, and its theme along the bottom. Pick one theme for a deck with a single mood, or Mixed to draw from all eight.
- A fresh shuffle daily: the deck is shuffled with a seed made from today's date and your theme, so the same choices give you the same deck all day — and a genuinely new mix tomorrow.
- 369 method page: ruled space to write one intention 3 times in the morning, 6 in the afternoon and 9 in the evening — a simple writing rhythm for keeping one intention in mind through the day.
- Gratitude page: three numbered lines for things you are grateful for, plus space for one small win from today.
- Intention page: three quiet prompts — Today I intend…, I release…, I invite… — each with ruled lines.
- Undated, on purpose: journal pages carry no dates, so print a stack of copies and use them whenever. Set Copies above and the whole set repeats.
- Journal needs a page type: if you choose journal output with no page types ticked, there is nothing to build and the summary stays hidden — tick at least one of the three.
- Printing tips: print at 100% (Actual size, not Fit to page), use card stock around 250 gsm for the deck if you have it, and run one test sheet first. The cards use a deep indigo background by design — beautiful in hand, but it does drink ink; the journal pages are light and ink-friendly.
- The honest bit: decks and journals like these sell for $3–15 on Etsy. This one is free because it costs nothing to make — it is generated in your browser. The cards carry no branding, just a small site credit in the sheet margin.
Frequently asked questions
Is this really free?
Yes — completely. The PDF is generated in your browser with open-source software, so there is no signup, no checkout and no trimmed-down sample version. Comparable affirmation decks and printable journals sell for $3–15 on Etsy; this studio gives you the full deck and journal pages for nothing.
What size are the cards, and what paper should I use?
Each card is 63 × 88 mm — standard playing-card size — with nine cards per A4 sheet and dashed guides to cut along. Plain A4 works, but card stock around 250 gsm makes a deck that feels like a deck. A paper trimmer gives cleaner edges than scissors, and rounding the corners is optional.
How do I print the PDF?
Download the PDF, open it in any PDF viewer and print at 100% scale (labelled Actual size in most print dialogs — avoid Fit to page, which shrinks the cards). Print one sheet first to check size and colour, then run the rest. The file is named whispers-printables.pdf.
Can I print on US Letter paper?
The PDF is designed for A4 (210 × 297 mm). The card grid is centred and fits within Letter width, and at Actual size most printers handle it well — but Letter is shorter than A4, so the tiny footer in the bottom margin may sit very close to the edge or clip on printers with large unprintable margins. A4 is recommended when you have the choice.
Will the dark cards use a lot of printer ink?
Honestly, yes — the cards have a deep indigo background, which is part of the design and looks striking in hand, but it uses more ink than a white card would. Print one test sheet to see the result on your printer, and consider a print shop for large decks. The journal pages are mostly white with light ruled lines, so they are very ink-friendly.
What is the 369 method?
It is a simple writing practice: choose one intention and write it 3 times in the morning, 6 times in the afternoon and 9 times in the evening. The 369 page gives you ruled space for each round. Treat it as a focus and reflection habit — a way of returning to one intention through the day — rather than a promise that writing makes things happen.
Are the journal pages dated?
No — all journal pages are undated on purpose, so nothing goes to waste on a skipped day. Use the Copies setting to print a week or a month of the same pages in one file, and write the date at the top yourself if you like keeping a record.
Will I get the same cards if I generate the PDF twice?
On the same day with the same theme, yes — the shuffle is seeded by the date and theme, so your deck is stable all day (handy if a print goes wrong and you need an identical reprint). Come back tomorrow and the same choices produce a freshly shuffled deck from the same library of 480+ affirmations.
Is anything I choose uploaded or tracked?
No. The theme, card count and page choices never leave this page — the PDF is assembled locally in your browser using the jsPDF library, and your downloads folder is the only place the file goes. There is no server involved in making your printable.
Can I give printed decks as gifts, or sell them?
Printing decks and journal pages for yourself, or as gifts for friends and family, is exactly what this is for. Please do not sell the prints or the PDF file itself — if you love the idea commercially, make your own deck; the affirmations here took real writing time.
